The "Land Use and Water Quality in Hunting Creek: Research, Education and Outreach" project is a cooperative effort between Calvert County, the Hunting Creek Watershed Task Force, Calverton School and the Institute for Ecological Economics (UMCES). It continues water quality tidal sampling by the Task Force, freshwater sampling by Calverton School students and landscape modeling by IEE. The project continues the long-term water quality measurements on the freshwater portion of Hunting Creek.

The project is funded by the EPA Small Watersheds Program. NFWF Grant # 00-042-010

The goals of this website are threefold:

  • Provide the project participants with a media to exchange data.
  • Develop a framework for exchange of knowledge for different small watershed teams.
